Young Joondalup Women Flock to Wanneroo

Saturday, May 23, 2015 - 7:50 AM

Tha Falcons Youth Girls will test their strength this weekend at Wanneroo Showgrounds as they take on East Fremantle.

A partnership with the Wanneroo Amateur Football club sees the girls relocate to Wanneroo Show Grounds for a week playing at 11.30am Sunday 24th May, while the girls from the senior team take in East Fremantle under lights following the league game at 5.30pm today - Saturday 23rd May.

Players to watch for include those selected in the State 16's team: Teneika Burgess (Tiny), Chloe Metcalf, Kirralee Ralls (Kezz). Congratulations girls.

Tiny is a great female success story, she was a train on last year and was very disappointed that she didn’t get a chance to travel.

Her response, do extra training, work hard on the areas she was suggested to and it has paid off with her making the team this year, hence to say she is extremely excited to make it.

This will be Chloe's first year in Youth Girls and has made it into the State 16’s. Chloe is a truly gifted athlete having also represented WA in Athletics recently in Sydney.

Kezz returns to the State side after being in the team last year, she has been elevated to Captain of Falcons Youth Girls and has improved greatly

The Girls so far sit 3 wins and 1 loss, were on top until last week’s defeat, just behind on percentage.

The Joondalup Womens Youth Girs has just hit 30 players and is still recruiting.
