Tops Marks for the Footy Clinic!

Thursday, July 19, 2018 - 7:31 PM

The Falcons District July School Holiday Clinic was hosted in superb, sunny winter conditions on Wednesday 11th July at HBF Arena. Over 90 boys and girls from pre-primary to year 6 took part in the fun filled day where they were coached by the West Perth Football Club senior players across 8 stations that were educational, inclusive and fun.

The 8 stations covered all things footy and fun, this includes all the fundamental football skills such as, handballing, kicking, marking and tackling incorporated within fun games and activities. The kids also participated in a modified match and experienced what it would be like to be a West Perth football club player, receiving a tour of the new West Perth Football Club facility. The brand new, multi storey, AFL grade facility was completed in December of 2017 and provided the kids with an idea of the high-quality equipment and technology available at WAFL level and within the West Perth Football Club. This gave the kids the ability to feel what it will be like if they are ever lucky enough to pull on the mighty Red and Blue.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day a success. As always, the West Perth players did an exceptional job and were a great example to the kids to aspire to, passing on their knowledge to the future generation of stars. All boys and girls left the day with a new West Perth Football Club training shirt and a smile on their face as they take their newly developed skills into their community teams.
